The US Open of Surfing Ends In Brutal Beach Brawl
The US Open of Surfing turned into the US Open of Headbutting last weekend when two attendees began going at it after landing in a very sandy spat.
Though it’s unclear what exactly led to the beach brawl, a tense conversation between two viewers quickly devolved to headbutts and blows, the pair rising from their beach chairs to promptly beat the absolute **** out of one another.
“This is why we can't have nice things,” local shitposting page @meanwhilein_huntingtonbeach captioned one of their viral videos of the fight. “Public announcement ⚠️ Please remember to take your trash home with you.”
Shortly after hitting the platform, several SoCal locals flocked to the comments, using the pair’s obnoxious behavior as further reason to enjoy the competition at home rather than at Huntington Beach.
“This is why you won’t find locals at the beach during tourist season,” observed @linaxskyy.
“How do all the other surf contests around the world avoid this?” asked @benjaminfattt.” Why does only Huntington almost burn down every decade or so because of a surf contest?”
Fighting at the surf competition: It’s like, not totally radical, dude.
